GTM MCP

An internal Google Tag Manager tool operated by Vitality Marketing Firm.

GTM MCP is a private automation tool. It is used by Vitality Marketing Firm staff and by clients who have engaged Vitality Marketing Firm to manage their Google Tag Manager containers. It is not a consumer product and is not offered for public sign up.

What it does

GTM MCP connects to the Google Tag Manager API on behalf of an authorized user so that tagging work can be performed reliably and repeatably instead of by hand in the Tag Manager interface. Typical work includes:

Auditing an existing container and reporting on the tags, triggers and variables it contains
Installing and configuring Google Analytics 4 tags, conversion linkers and standard event tracking
Creating, updating and removing tags, triggers and variables
Creating container versions and publishing them once approved
Reviewing container user permissions

Who can use it

Access is limited to Vitality Marketing Firm personnel and to client accounts that Vitality Marketing Firm has been directly authorized to work in. A user must sign in with their own Google account and grant access explicitly. Access can be revoked by the user at any time from their Google Account permissions page.

How to sign in

GTM MCP is used from within an approved client application. During sign in Google will show you exactly which Tag Manager permissions are being requested. If you did not initiate the sign in, or you do not recognize the request, do not approve it and contact jason@vitalitymarketingfirm.com.
